Nothing gets pried open on a schedule that isn't yours. Trauma work here is trauma-focused and somatic as much as it is verbal. I have worked with people through child protection, foster care, a locked adolescent residential unit and private practice, which means very little is shocking to me and nothing needs to be performed for me. "My clients come in and they want to talk about the color pink. I'll talk about the color pink. All session. Maybe that conversation about the color pink opened a door to dealing with the trauma they had in their childhood." Sessions attend to what your nervous system is doing, not only to the story. Some weeks that is grounding and sleep. Some weeks it is memory. Both count as progress.
