After You Send It ## What Happens Next The form comes straight to me. Nobody else reads it, there is no front desk and no intake service. I usually reply within a couple of business days, and my working days are Wednesday through Saturday, so a message sent on a Sunday night will sit until midweek. What I write back is short. I will tell you whether I have room, ask a question or two if I need to, and offer some times for the free 30-minute call. If I am not the right person for what you are describing, I will say so in that first reply and point you somewhere else rather than book you in and work it out later. Writing the Message ## What to Say, and What to Leave Out A few sentences is plenty. Who the therapy is for, whether that is you or your child or the two of you. Roughly what is going on, in the broadest terms. What days and times could work. Whether you want to meet in person in Eugene or by telehealth. That is genuinely all I need to know whether to book the call. Please leave out the clinical detail. Email and web forms are not secure and are not monitored, so this is not the place for diagnoses, medications, records, the specifics of an assault, or anything else you would not want sitting in an inbox. Nothing is lost by holding it back. You can tell me all of it on the call or in the room, where it is protected. Sending this form does not make you a client, and it does not commit you to anything. Using this site or emailing does not create a client relationship. The Free Call ## Thirty Minutes, No Pitch The 30-minute consultation is a real conversation, not a sales call. There is no script on my side and nothing at the end of it that you have to sign. You are deciding whether you want to talk to me every week, which is a serious thing to decide, and half an hour is the least it deserves. Ask me anything you want. How I work, what I would do with what you are describing, what I do not do, what it costs, how long people usually stay. It is a good place to ask about a reduced fee, and it is a good place to ask me the question you are worried is rude. If at the end you would rather see someone else, tell me and I will help you find them. That is a good outcome, not a failed one.
